The Pattern Design
The Commuter Backpack can fit a 15 inch notebook laptop in it and all your work things, ready for the hard days work ahead of you (or just use it as a school bag or an everyday bag).
It has extra padded shoulder straps that help with the weight of all the things you will be carrying around.
There is one main roomy compartment, with a large inside zip pocket. The main compartment closes by a heavy duty zip. Then there is a large, outside slip pocket for quick access to notepads for your daily tasks.
To close and secure the bag completely, use the flap, which locks with 2 quick release clasps. The flap gives that extra security for when you’re in a busy city/town.

An easy to follow pattern with detailed instructions and lots of pictures. There is also a Sew Along video Playlist, to help with every step within the pattern. All the links to the videos are stated within the pattern. Measurements are in both inches and cm.
Finished bag size 11 x 15.5 x 4.25 inches.
What items you will need to make this bag, that are also available in my shop:
- 2 metres of F220 Medium Weight Interfacing
- either 1 metre of H640 Fusible Fleece or 1 metre of Style Vil Foam
